From February 2024, the American Professional Golf (PGA) South American Tour and Canada Tour will be integrated into one, and a new start will be made as the PGA Tour America.
The PGA Tour announced on the 26th, “The PGA Tour America will be held with 16 tournaments across South America, Canada and the United States, and will be held from February to September.” At the end of the season, the top 10 on the PGA Tour America’s points list will qualify for the next season’s Korn Ferry Tour.
“PGA Tour America is an arena where potential players will compete fiercely,” said Alex Baldwin, director of PGA Tour University. Many players will grow further through PGA Tour America, and will ultimately be given the opportunity to advance to the world’s best stage, the PGA Tour.”
PGA Tour America kicks off the season with a South American swing in February. Players eligible to compete in the South American swing, which will be held from February to May next year, include the top 60 on the 2022-23 PGA Tour Latin America points list and the top 60 on the 2023 PGA Tour Canada points list. The winners of the first stage on the PGA Tour’s Q School, as well as players who finish tied for 40th in the Q School final, will also be eligible to compete in the Latin American Swing.
The top 60 players in the South American Swing will continue to compete in the North American Swing, which will be held from June to September.
