NC Dinos will hold the Futures League home game against Sangmu Baseball Team at Masan Baseball Stadium on the 16th as a retirement game for training coach Kim Geon-tae and playing coach Kwon Jeong-woong.
Coach Kim Geon-tae graduated from Jinheung High School and began his professional career at Nexen in 2010. He was selected by NC in the 2017 KBO 2nd draft and wore a Dinos uniform. He pitched in a total of 183 games in the regular league, recording 5 wins, 13 losses, and 12 holds, and an ERA of 5.20. In the 2020 season, he was a key player for NC and contributed to the team’s first comprehensive championship since its inception. After the 2022 season, he will become a training coach for the club and is working with the C Team (NC Future Steam) players.
Jeong-woong Kwon began his professional career at Samsung in 2015 after graduating from Hanyang University. He joined NC in September 2022 and has recorded a batting average of 0.200 and 6 home runs in 75 regular league games to date. In recognition of his unique sincerity and communication skills, he has been with the players as the C team playing coach since May of this year.
On this day, coach Kim Geon-tae and player Kwon Jeong-woong will appear as substitutes during the game and show their final appearance as players to the fans. After the game, a bouquet presentation ceremony for the players and a group photo session were held to commemorate the farewell to the beloved ground and the start of a new challenge.
Training coach Kim Geon-tae said, “All players dream of having a retirement ceremony after finishing their active career. Although he was not a leading player in every game, I think he was able to create such an honorable event because he appreciated my hard work on the team. While doing the club’s own coach training, I am learning something different that I never experienced as a player. I am thinking a lot about how I can help behind the scenes of the team and feeling the development and growth of the players. Using this study as a foundation, I will continue to study for a long time. “As a member of the NC Dinos, I will always do my best. Now that I am starting another beginning, I want to show off my best finish as player Kim Geon-tae,” he said.먹튀검증
Playing Coach Kwon Jeong-woong said, “It’s been a full year since I came to NC, and I’m grateful to the club officials for providing such a meaningful opportunity ahead of a new start. I’m also grateful to the fans who supported me consistently even though I wasn’t a player who received attention, and now I’m looking forward to helping the players. “I will do my best in my duties,” he said.
NC Dinos general manager Lim Seon-nam said, “I would like to thank the two players for their dedication to the team. I will support the future of the two players who were more sincere and passionate on the field than anyone else.”
