The fantastic combination of MVP Kershaw and Betts leads the Dodgers to an 8-4 victory

The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees easily thanks to the performances of former MVP Clayton Kershaw and Mookie Betts.

The Dodgers batting line heated up from the first inning. He scored a whopping 6 points and went on to provide hot scoring support to Kershaw. Betts scored first with a left-handed solo arch, and following Smith’s infield hit, Muncy hit a two-run arch over the left fence. 

The Dodgers, who had a chance to get the bases loaded with consecutive hits from Martinez, Hayward, and Vargas, added one more run with Outman’s heavy hit. In the ensuing chance with the bases loaded, Rojas’ center fielder’s sacrifice fly and Betts’ hit to the left widened the score to 6-0. After one out in the second inning, the Yankees pursued one run with Donaldson’s left-handed solo arch.

Then, the Dodgers ran away with one more run in the third inning with Martinez’ mid-month solo shot. After two outs in the fourth inning, the Yankees scored the second run with Stanton’s one shot. The Dodgers hammered a wedge in the sixth inning with Betts’ one-shot. The Yankees caught up with a four-run lead with Donaldson’s two-run arch in the ninth inning, but failed to narrow the score any further. 

Dodgers starter Kershaw became the winning pitcher, boasting a good pitch with 2 runs in 7 innings. Leadoff Betts showed off his improved sense of hitting with 4 hits, 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored in 4 at-bats, including two home runs, while Muncy and Martinez also achieved multi-hits, including home runs. 

Yankees starter Severino collapsed with 7 runs in 4 innings. Donaldson struggled with 2 hits, 3 RBIs and 2 runs, including 2 home runs.
